So I'm going to state at the outset that some of my content is paywalled, some of it is not.
It may be arrogant of me to presume that my content is worth pay walling but what i am doing is playing with the paywall.. what is paywalled today may not be tomorrow, and what is not paywalled today may be paywalled tomorrow in the grand experiment of how does this work. Having said that lets get to the meat and potatoes of tonight's thought process.
Thanksgiving. Remember a time when the world didnt move for thanksgiving? you prepared or helped prepare the meal and clean the house to receive guests while the Macy's parade played on all three channels?? You hoped to be mostly done by the time they brought out the Garfield balloon?? Those days appear to be over as there is a struggle between the dollar and what can only be described as focus on the family. For those of us who have recently been singled this time of year can bring a lot of mixed feelings. For example I worked till after five today so no turkey dinner and mashed potatoes for me.. The challenge becomes when there's nobody to spend that time or that dinner with what do you do? For me I embrace it and go with a "hungry man turkey and mashed potatoes tv dinner" No I am not sponsored by hungry man but if they ever want to talk Im here,,
I am a decent dare I say better than average cook, but there's no point in busting out a whole turkey dinner with all the fixings for myself. and Im kind of reclusively healing, so I dont really desire the presence of a houseful but it is still good for the soul to spend time with family. So yeah quick thanksgiving dinner. hungry man tv dinner turkey and mashed potatoes, a litle martinellie's or something with more bubbles if you got nowhere to be, and canberry sauce.. that's where you buy the cranberry sauce in a can, empty it out onto a saucer for serving and leave it in the shape of the can for presentation.
This is how I mock my soloness but still respect the spirit of the holiday.
Happy thanksgiving everyone!! And if today finds you alone and in that place where you cant see your way out, know there is someone in your life that cares about you and wants you to be happy and is greatful you are in their life. So if your thinking about doing something you cant come back from please reach out. I cant promise it gets better right away, but it does get better. And there are choices and experiences in life you can only have if you are alive.
